OPD investigates allegations of Professional misconduct in various professions.Ìý Pharmacy is one of the largest profession we regulate, as we have jurisdiction over the pharmacies and the pharmacists.Ìý Pharmacy inspections are mandatory for a newÌý pharmacy to open.Ìý After the initial inspection, pharmacy can be inspected randomly at anytime.ÌýÌý
Under the supervision of an Investigator, intern will assist with inspections and visit pharmacies to determine if there are licensed pharmacists on duty.Ìý An alarming number of pharmacies have been found to be operating without a pharmacist on duty, putting the public at risk.
Training on pharmacy inspections and investigations of professionals licensed by the NYS Education Dept.
Students who are candidates to receive degrees in criminal justice or related fields.
15 hours per week
Undergraduate students will be paid $15/hour and graduate students will be paid $18/hour. For all offices located in NYC or Westchester, Suffolk, or Nassau Counties, undergraduate students will be paid $16.00/hour and graduate students will be paid $19.00/hour.
